It started
back in 1993 when I went on the First Annual Spring Training Trek, a
week of Atlanta Braves Spring Training baseball in West Palm Beach.
In 1998, the Fifth Annual Spring Training Trek moved along with the
Braves Disney's Wide World of Sports: Baseball by day, Pleasure
Island by night. For six years, I explored Walt Disney World, from
the Disney Institute to the Keys to the Kingdom, from the back lot
to the boardwalk. For reasons known only to the FEWMNBNtm,
the Tenth Annual Anniversary was the last. I had seen everything,
eaten almost everywhere, done just about everything except the
Richard Petty Driving experience. Even got wet with the dolphins.
So when the opportunity came this year to take my first real
vacation in 4 years during my 40th anniversary celebration year, I
decided I wanted to go skiing in the Rockies.
Well, that trip washed out last month due to reasons which I
will not impart here, leaving me with a hole in my schedule. So I
was faced with a dilemma. What could I do that would hold a candle
to Vail/Beaver Creek? How about the 11th Annual Spring Training Trek
2007?
